About

I’m Odoardo Fioravanti and formdoesmatter is my design blog. I’m an industrial designer based in Milan, intrigued by design research. When I was studying design most people recommended a degree of reserve when it came to form. Working on it was essentially regarded as a “sin” and everyone preached a “productive functionalism”: designing things that are easy to make, above all, expurgating the rest.
Now that I can steer my work in the direction I think best I can say proudly that “form does matter.”
Beauty is the message, form is the language.
